Nutritional Therapy Consultation process

Before your first consultation you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and a food diary. An accurate food diary will help reveal why your dietary habits are having an impact on your health. It is also a useful record of the difference a new regime is making.

Your initial consultation will last around 75 minutes. During the consultation, I will need to gain a solid understanding of your health and wellbeing. We will discuss your personal medical history, family medical history, experience of physical or emotional traumas and any current or previous medications.

We will then go on to talk about the workings of each of your body systems, followed by your current diet and lifestyle. Going through a series of questions will help prompt you to consider things that you might not think have any connection with diet, and enable me to join all the dots together to create a better picture of your overall health.

Following the consultation, I will write up your personal Nutrition Treatment plan, and send it to you within 48 hours. This will include all your dietary and supplementation recommendations and any relevant lifestyle advice, keeping your initial complaints in mind while addressing the underlying issues.

If any of the treatment pointers seem unachievable to you, I can adjust the parameters accordingly. If you are on a particularly tight budget or prefer to avoid supplements, for example, we will focus more heavily on diet and lifestyle advice to achieve results.
The Nutrition Treatment plan will include menu ideas, new ingredient suggestions and lifestyle considerations for healthy work, life and home balance. I conduct nutrition consultations face-to-face, or online zoom consultations are available also, which work very well.
